Dmitry Ilugdin

Dmitry Ilugdin is a trio leader, pianist and composer, winner of the Triumph youth prize, keyboardist of the famous Arsenal (from 1999 to 2009). For the past 14 years, a creative partner of Alexei Kozlov, one of the founders of the well-known Vision of Sound, author of music for big screen films and TV series. Dmitry was a party to many joint projects, where he performed his original musical pieces.
According to many contemporary music experts, Dmitry is an absolutely accomplished creative personality belonging to the Russian instrumental elite. Yet until recently he used to have only one musical album to his name. In April 2011,  for the first time he submitted to the public a whole concert worth of his materials, all done in his unique style. The project was titled Nikitsky Boulevard after one of the songs. This concert recording received many positive reviews from experts and connoisseurs. As a result, a self-titled album was released by Art Beat Music record label in the spring of 2012. In terms of style, the Nikitsky Boulevard project can be easily sorted as belonging to modern European jazz music.
The concert version presents the author's original pieces. The performing style of the Trio is close to that of chamber acoustic music, emphasizing melodism and ease of listening. The trio members are old friends, colleagues and, unmistakably, first-class musicians.
