Dmitry Mospan

Dmitry Mospan is a saxophonist, composer, arranger, professor and winner Big Jazz TV show.
Dmitry began his musical career at the age of 14 when he entered Oleg Lundstrem's orchestra. He worked there for 7 years, gaining orchestral performance experience and learning the basics of improvisation under the maestro's supervision. In 1999, Mospan met Igor Butman and was invited to his Big Band, first as baritone sax and later as first tenor. This cooperation still continues.
In 2005, the musician did his internship at the Open World training program of the New School University, NYC. He performed at New York's legendary Blue Note club as a member of Open World Russian Octet ensemble along with special guests Clark Terry, Jimmy Hith, Kenny Barron.
In 2010, he performed with Vadim Eylenkrig Esemble at an economic conference in Yalta. While there, he played for Bill Clinton (former US President).
In 2012, Dmitry reordered a solo album titled On The Waves, featuring the stars of New York jazz Benito Gonzales, Gerald Cannon, Rodney Green, Vitaly Golovnev.
During his 30 years long musical career Dmitry has worked with many stars of the world jazz: Wynton Marsalis, Randy Brecker, Joe Lovano, Bill Evans, Richie Cole, Eddie Henderson, Gene Jackson, Donald Edwards, Kevin Mahogany, Allan Harris, Jenn Parker, Herlin Riley, German Lukyanov, George Garanian, Valery Ponomarev, Nikolay Levinovsky, Andrei Makarevich, Larisa Dolina and many others.
Dmitry Mospan participated in many international jazz festivals, including Santa Barbara International Jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz Festival, Jazz a Juan, Wigan Jazz Festival, Triumph of Jazz, Jazz at the Hermitage Garden, The Jazz Manor, Aquajazz.Sochi Jazz Festival, World Jazz Festival, Koktebel Jazz Party.
